The company was founded in Carugo in the late 19th century, when Lazzaro and his son Enrico began cultivating mulberry trees for silk production. After the First World War, they started creating gardens for Lombard villas. With Carlo, the business expanded, and the nursery in Pistoia was established to grow plants in climates best suited to each variety. Enrico and Giorgio continued the work, focusing on large specimen trees and the creation of gardens and terraces. Today, the fifth generation joins the company with Alice, Edoardo and Andrea.

Quality and dedication remain constant principles.

Our Nurseries

Our nurseries extend across Brianza and Pistoia over a total of 16 hectares. Here we cultivate plants at every stage, from propagation to large specimen trees, both in open ground and in airpot containers, following each variety in the climate best suited to its growth.

We specialise in the cultivation of topiary forms shaped with a creative approach, as well as ready-to-place specimens with natural, timeless forms, alongside a carefully selected range of rare and less common varieties, chosen for their botanical quality, structure and ornamental value.

Our Greenhouses

Our greenhouses are designed to meet the needs of every plant we cultivate. Each space follows the most suitable climate, allowing us to care for a wide range of species at every stage of their growth.

Among them, a greenhouse of over 1,000 sqm with a height of 6 metres hosts tropical and indoor specimens, offering a bright and striking setting for display, storage and special projects. Cooler greenhouses are dedicated to the propagation and storage of Mediterranean varieties.

Pistoia

At the Tuscan estate, alongside the nursery activity, the family also produces olive oil and wine, following the same approach shaped by time, balance and quality.

In the early 1980s, the first vineyards and olive groves were acquired on the hills of Serravalle Pistoiese, marking the beginning of a parallel agricultural project. Over time, with respect for the land and traditional practices, production has moved towards a biodynamic approach. This led to the creation of Poderino della Frasconaia, a small estate dedicated to wine and olive oil, expressing the character of the Chianti Montalbano area.
